1. Professor Sher Ali (Editor in Chief)

Prof. Sher Ali is a highly distinguished biomedical scientist and academic leader with decades of experience in molecular genetics, immunology, and translational biomedical research. A Gold Medalist and recipient of several prestigious national fellowships (FNA, FASc, FNASc, FSASc), he has also been honored with the J.C. Bose National Fellowship. He currently serves as Distinguished Professor and Dean (Research & Development) at Era University, Lucknow, providing senior academic and research leadership.

Prof.  Ali is an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow (Germany) and a Fulbright Fellow (USA), with extensive international academic exposure across the USA, UK, Germany, and Australia. He has previously held key leadership roles, including Senior Staff Scientist and Head of the Molecular Genetics Division at the National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi, and Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBS), Jamia Millia Islamia. He has also served as Dean (Academics and R&D) at Integral University and as Distinguished Professor at Sharda University. As Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Molecular Oncology, Prof. Ali brings exceptional scholarly vision, editorial rigor, and global research insight to the journal.

 

 

2. Md. Imtaiyaz Hassan, Ph.D.  (Senior Editor)

Professor Md. Imtaiyaz Hassan, Ph.D., FRSB, FRSC is an internationally recognized scientist with expertise in structural biology, computational biology, and molecular drug discovery. He is currently based at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. A Gold Medalist in both his Ph.D. and M.Sc., Professor Hassan has built a strong academic foundation in biotechnology and molecular sciences. His research integrates bioinformatics, molecular modeling, and biophysical approaches to understand disease mechanisms, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. He has published extensively in high-impact international journals and has led numerous nationally and internationally funded research projects. His work has received global recognition, placing him among the top 2% of scientists worldwide. Professor Hassan is also an active mentor to doctoral and postdoctoral researchers. His interdisciplinary scholarship aligns closely with the vision of the International Journal of Molecular Oncology, supporting advances in molecular mechanisms and precision therapeutics.

 

3. M. Moshahid Alam Rizvi, Ph.D.  (Senior Editor)

Professor M. Moshahid Alam Rizvi is a distinguished molecular oncologist and senior faculty member in the Department of Biosciences at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, where he has served as Professor since 2011 and currently also serves as Honorary Director of the Centre for Distance and Online Education. His research focuses on molecular oncology, cancer therapeutics, genomics, and epigenomics, with over 270 publications in national and international journals, an h-index of 47, and extensive global citations supporting his scientific influence. He holds a Ph.D. from the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, and has significantly contributed to anticancer drug development, genomic studies of cancer, and therapeutic evaluation of novel bioactive compounds. Professor Rizvi has also filed multiple patents in anticancer therapeutics and supervised numerous doctoral scholars, shaping the next generation of researchers. His expertise and leadership enrich the International Journal of Molecular Oncology’s mission to advance cutting-edge cancer research.

 

 

4. Dr. Saima Wajid, Ph.D.

Dr. Saima Wajid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, where she specializes in clinical genomics, proteomics, and molecular oncology. With over 120 publications and more than 1,400 citations, her research contributions span cancer biology, cancer biomarkers, gene expression, immunohistochemistry, and molecular cell biology, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary engagement in cancer diagnostics and therapeutics. Dr. Wajid’s work includes proteomic analyses of cancer progression, investigation of tumor microenvironment dynamics, and translational studies aimed at improving diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. In addition to her research, she has taught core courses in molecular biology, genetic engineering, and functional genomics, and has actively supervised graduate and doctoral research, contributing significantly to capacity building in biomedical sciences.

 

5. Dr. Ankur Sharma, Ph.D.

Dr. Ankur Sharma, is a research scientist and nanomedicine specialist currently serving as a Research Associate at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, University of Strathclyde, U.K. His research focuses on mitochondrial drug delivery, liposome-based nanocarriers, and theragnostic platforms for targeted disease treatment, including cancer and inflammatory conditions. Dr. Sharma’s work integrates drug delivery systems, molecular and cell biology, and nanobiotechnology to advance precision therapeutics. He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on novel nanocarrier formulations, cancer metastasis models, and advanced biomaterial systems for disease management. Additionally, he contributing to scientific discourse in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences. Dr. Sharma’s interdisciplinary expertise aligns closely with the International Journal of Molecular Oncology’s mission to publish cutting-edge research at the intersection of molecular mechanisms and innovative therapeutic strategies.

 

6. Dr. Parvez Khan, Ph.D.

Dr. Parvez Khan, is an accomplished researcher with expertise in cancer biology, cancer therapeutics, molecular biophysics, and small-molecule modulators of oncogenic pathways. His academic profile highlights work on miRNAs, small molecule inhibitors, and biophysical mechanisms underlying cancer progression, contributing to the advancement of targeted oncology research. Although based in academic and research positions internationally, his scholarship reflects a strong commitment to bridging molecular insights with therapeutic applications, making his expertise especially relevant to precision oncology investigations. Dr. Khan’s interdisciplinary approach supports the editorial mission of the International Journal of Molecular Oncology, where cutting-edge studies from molecular mechanisms to translational applications are prioritized.

 

 

7. Dr. Saurabh Kumar Jha Ph.D.

Dr. Saurabh Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at Kalindi College, University of Delhi, with strong expertise in molecular oncology, cancer biology, and molecular neuroscience. He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Delhi Technological University, where his research focused on signaling mechanisms and therapeutic actions of biomolecules in neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. Jha has an extensive research portfolio with publications in several high-impact international journals, including Molecular Cancer, Journal of Controlled Release, and Ageing Research Reviews, and has accumulated significant citations reflecting the impact of his work. His research interests span cancer metabolism, neurodegeneration, immunotherapy, nanomedicine, and functional genomics. In addition to his research contributions, he has substantial experience in peer review and editorial activities for leading journals published by Nature and other major publishers. As a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Molecular Oncology (IJMO), Dr. Jha brings valuable academic insight, editorial experience, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of scientific quality and integrity.
