Submission Guidelines

The International Journal of Molecular Oncology (IJMO) welcomes high-quality manuscripts that advance research in molecular oncology, cancer genomics, and precision medicine. Authors are requested to read and follow the submission guidelines carefully to ensure efficient peer review and publication.

1. General Submission Requirements 

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. 

  • Submissions should fall within the aims and scope of IJMO. 

  • All manuscripts are subject to editorial screening and peer review. 

  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s official submission system or designated email address.

  • Original Research Articles

  • Translational and Clinical Studies 

  • Methodological and Technical Reports 

  • Short Communications

3. Language and Style 

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear and concise English. 

  • Authors whose native language is not English are encouraged to seek professional language editing prior to submission. 

  • Use standard scientific terminology and units.

4. Manuscript Preparation 

Formatting 

  • Manuscripts should be prepared using standard word-processing software. 

  • Use a readable font, double-spaced text, and continuous line numbering where possible. 

  • Pages should be numbered consecutively.

5. Manuscript Structure 

Title Page 

The title page should include: 

  • Full title of the manuscript 

  • Names of all authors 

  • Institutional affiliations 

  • Corresponding author’s email address 

  • ORCID iDs (if available) 

Abstract 

  • Maximum of 250 words 

  • Should clearly summarize the objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions 

Keywords 

  • Provide 3–6 keywords relevant to the manuscript 

Main Text 

Original research articles should include: 

  • Introduction 

  • Materials and Methods 

  • Results 

  • Discussion 

  • Conclusion 

Review articles and other formats may use appropriate section headings.

6. Figures and Tables 

  • Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively in the order cited in the text. 

  • Each figure and table must have a clear title and legend. 

  • High-resolution images are required for publication. 

  • Figures and tables should be submitted as separate files where applicable.

  • References should be cited in the text and listed at the end of the manuscript. 

  • Use a consistent citation style (e.g., numbered or Vancouver style). 

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of references.

8. Ethical Considerations 

Authors must comply with ethical standards for research and publication: 

  • Studies involving human participants must include a statement of ethical approval and informed consent. 

  • Animal studies must follow institutional and international ethical guidelines. 

  • All authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources. 

  • Plagiarism, data fabrication, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.

9. Peer Review Process 

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. Manuscripts are evaluated by independent experts for originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the field of molecular oncology.

10. Article Processing Charges (APCs) 

IJMO is an open-access journal and may charge an Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts. 

  • No fees are charged at the time of submission. 

  • APC details and waiver policies are available on the journal website.

11. Copyright and Open Access 

Authors retain copyright of their published work. Articles are published under an open-access license that allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction, provided the original work is properly cited.

  • Corresponding authors will receive proofs for final review before publication. 

  • Only minor corrections are permitted at the proof stage. 

  • Articles are published online immediately after final approval.
